I have a passion for fashion, beauty and retail, and an eye for style, detail and presentation. This is a selection of my work from the Fashion Retail Academy: a magazine I designed and produced, cover and editorial shoots, a team brand pitch and store research.

The magazine

For my first Fashion Retail Academy project I designed and produced a full fashion magazine, from the cover to the features, styling pages and ads. It brings together my research on fashion history, trend forecasting and designers.

Cover challenge

Vogue vs i-D

One autumn theme, styled for two very different readers. I kept the Vogue cover minimal and chic with a single pop of red, and gave the i-D cover more colour, a London street backdrop and a cooler, trend-led feel.

Era editorial shoot

80s chic

An editorial shoot inspired by the bold, expressive style of the 1980s. I started with a mood board, then used locations around London, styling and poses to give the era a modern twist.

Team project

Levi's × Von Dutch pitch

In a team of four, we pitched how Levi's could reach a younger audience. We identified three problems: little social media activity, a narrow range and few collaborations. Our answer was a Levi's × Von Dutch denim mini skirt aimed at younger women, launched at Coachella with a customisable tote bag. I presented the problems section.

Primary research

Mango vs Hobbs

We visited both stores to compare their customers, window displays and in-store presentation.

Hobbs

Customer
Women around 30–50, happy to spend more
Windows
Full and eye-catching, with plenty of styled mannequins
In store
Luxury feel, with branding down to the hangers and packaging

Mango

Customer
Women around 20–40 who want nice clothes at a lower price
Windows
Simple and minimal, with only a couple of mannequins
In store
Laid back, with very little branding

The windows and presentation told me who each brand was for before I walked through the door.

About me

Style, detail and people

I'm studying Level 3 Fashion Business at the Fashion Retail Academy in London. Before that I worked as an Admin & Creative Assistant at Profitable Sites Ltd, where I organised a jewellery retailer's ring range into style collections and named each one.
